Willem, the experience designer
As Willy Wonka puts it: “We are the music makers, and we are the dreamers of our dreams”. A designer is a creator of experiences. ‘De Muziek-Fabriek’ is a clear example of design in which product experience goes beyond functionality. But why am I interested in this type of design? Well, that is a result of who I am, and how I have developed myself as a designer during my years as a student at Industrial Design. To get an idea of who I am, I will give a short introduction:
I grew up in a village named Zeeland. I have always had friends, caring parents and an abundance of interests and hobbies from which the best one was and still is playing drums. Since a few years I’m living in Nijmegen with my girlfriend who is studying to become a creator of educative plans in museums. Next to my study, I play in a metal band named Formula Fiction. We have recently recorded a demo and we are now preparing new work for an album. I also enjoy the outdoors, especially the snowboarding holidays with friends.
